ShipStation Integration Services

ShipStation shipping integration that gets every order out the door at the right rate, the first time.

We connect your cart, enterprise resource planning, warehouse management system, and ShipStation so rates, labels, and tracking flow on their own. No more pasting tracking numbers, no more wrong service levels, no more "where is my order" emails landing in support.

Submit your brief → call within 48 hours → scoped proposal in 3 days → Sprint 1 within 1 week. Your team's time investment is typically 3 to 4 hours per week. We handle build, quality assurance, and cutover.

The shipping bench, today vs tomorrow

Stop hand-flying every package.

You bought ShipStation to remove manual work. Then someone still copies tracking numbers into the cart, picks the cheapest rate by eye, and emails support when international labels reject. Here is the gap closed.

Old way · before integration

A bench full of swivel chair work.

  • Orders pasted from cart into ShipStation by hand, two screens, three apps.

  • Cheapest rate picked by eye. service level agreement breaks. Refunds eat margin.

  • Tracking numbers retyped into the cart. Customers email "where is it?"

  • International forms filled by guess. Customs rejects. Packages stall.

  • Carrier invoices never reconcile against enterprise resource planning. Finance closes the month late.

New way · after integration

A bench that runs while you sleep.

  • Orders push from cart and enterprise resource planning to ShipStation the second checkout closes.

  • Rules pick the right rate for the right service level agreement. Margin holds, no eyeball math.

  • Tracking writes back to the order. Customer emails drop. CSAT climbs.

  • Customs data pulls from product information management and enterprise resource planning. Forms validate before label print.

  • Carrier billing reconciles to enterprise resource planning nightly. Finance closes on day one.

What our ShipStation ecommerce integration wires in.

Most shipping failures live in the seams between cart, enterprise resource planning, warehouse management system, product information management, and the carriers. We wire every seam with the right object map, the right events, and the right fail-safes.

A webhook from your cart fires the second the customer pays. enterprise resource planning gets the financial record. ShipStation gets the shippable view. Both write to the same order ID so nothing drifts.

  • Object map: cart.order → erp.salesorder → shipstation.order
  • Idempotency key on the order ID prevents duplicate inserts.
  • Failed pushes retry with exponential backoff to a dead-letter queue.

How JWE got fulfillment off spreadsheets.

Warehouse picker scanning barcode label on inventory shelf during morning fulfillment
Industry · uniform & apparelMulti-channel ecommercethird-party logistics fulfillment

JWE Inc

JWE sells uniforms across Shopify, Uniform Market, and a third-party logistics warehouse network. Orders, inventory, and customer data lived in three places and never agreed.

Problem

Fragmented processes and manual workflows. Orders, inventory, and customer data were spread across Shopify, Uniform Market, and the third-party logistics system. Inventory miscounts. Late shipments. Operational overhead climbing faster than revenue.

Solution

A tailored Dynamics 365 Business Central environment was configured to match JWE's operations. Two-way integrations were built between Shopify, Uniform Market, and the third-party logistics warehouse. ShipStation-equivalent fulfillment automation was wired across the pipe so order, inventory, and shipping data write to one ledger.

Why teams pick us over the typical partner network

ShipStation integration services built for fulfillment ops, not slide decks.

Most implementation partners ship a beautiful integration in staging and disappear. We instrument the pipe, run hypercare, and hand ops the keys.

Claim 01

Your ops team owns the rule editor on day one.

Carrier swaps, service level agreement changes, and rate-shop tweaks happen in a UI your team uses. No ticket to us, no waiting on a deploy. Typical partners keep the keys to bill more change requests.

ORD-48202why: free-ship cap · USPS won
ORD-48203why: tier=VIP · FedEx OD won

Claim 02

Every rate-shop decision is audited.

Finance can answer "why did UPS get this order, not USPS?" on any line, any month. Typical partners optimize for the rate sheet they negotiated, not your margin.

Claim 03

Cutover ships in 14 days, not 14 weeks.

A typical platform partner quotes 90+ days for a ShipStation-grade pipe because their team builds from scratch each time. We ship a hardened accelerator we have run for dozens of brands and configure the pieces unique to you.

Questions teams ask before signing

The honest answers, on record.

Do we have to be on ShipStation today to start?

No. About a third of engagements include the ShipStation tenant setup itself. If you are coming from EasyPost, ShipBob direct, or hand-keyed labels we will scope a migration window into the same Sprint 1.

Can you keep our negotiated carrier rates?

Yes. We connect against your own carrier accounts so your negotiated rate sheets apply automatically. If you ship enough to renegotiate, we will share the volume reports your carrier rep needs.

What if our enterprise resource planning is custom or older than Dynamics 365 / NetSuite?

We have wired against Dynamics NAV, custom .NET back-offices, and home-grown Postgres enterprise resource planning systems. The pipe pattern is the same. If your enterprise resource planning can expose orders, fulfillments, and inventory through any application programming interface or scheduled extract, we can integrate it.

How much engineering time will our team owe?

Typically 3 to 4 hours per week. You attend the sprint review, sign off on the rule design, and provide one sandbox admin. You do not write code, you do not manage quality assurance, you do not write handoff docs.

What happens if a carrier application programming interface goes down during peak?

The rule engine falls back to the next eligible carrier for that service level agreement. A live alert posts to your ops Slack with the affected order count. The dead-letter queue replays automatically once the carrier is back, so no order falls on the floor.

Will you walk away after cutover?

Two-week hypercare with a shared Slack channel and an on-call engineer is standard. After that, ongoing managed-integration plans are optional. Most teams take the rule editor and run independently.
