Narragansett Beer is a New England icon with a fast-growing direct-to-consumer channel, and a stack of systems that weren't talking to each other. Redefine unified the whole ecosystem with one team: Power BI across Toast, Shopify and VIP; secure Stripe and PayPal payments; a conversion-focused Shopify theme; and Klaviyo lifecycle marketing. The first month added $70,000 in revenue, and email grew into about half of monthly revenue.
The revenue figures above are documented in the engagement brief. Other dashboard values and percentages later on this page are illustrative samples pending verification.
Summary
Narragansett Beer is a legacy beverage brand with a growing direct-to-consumer channel, held back by disconnected systems across POS, e-commerce and customer data. Redefine Innovations delivered a unified digital strategy with one in-house team: Power BI integrated with Toast, Shopify and VIP for real-time reporting, predictive insights and trend forecasting; secure Stripe and PayPal gateways with encryption, tokenization and automated billing; a custom, conversion-focused Shopify theme grounded in UX research, SEO and mobile optimization; and Klaviyo for advanced segmentation, personalized campaigns and A/B testing, with GA4 and social strategy unifying measurement and messaging. The result was a fully integrated analytics and commerce ecosystem, an additional $70,000 in revenue in the first month, and email growing to roughly half of monthly revenue.
Note: the revenue figures (+$70K in month one, email ≈ 50% of revenue, a tripling of revenue) are documented from the brief. All other dashboard values, percentages and testimonials on this page are illustrative samples placed as structure, replace each with verified data before publishing.
The challenge
Narragansett had momentum but no clear view of it. POS ran in Toast, the store ran in Shopify, customer data lived in VIP, and none of it joined up, so performance and customer behavior were a guess assembled from disconnected reports.
That fragmentation rippled outward. Payment workflows needed stronger security and automation. The Shopify store needed conversion and UX work. And marketing was firing without the advanced segmentation and predictive insight to actually capitalize on demand. The brand was leaving growth on the table simply because it couldn't see clearly.
The brief was a unification, not a patch: connect the systems into one source of truth, secure and automate payments, sharpen the storefront, and turn marketing into a measurable growth engine.
The approach
Two tracks ran together: connect the data so the business could finally see itself, and use that clarity to optimize commerce, payments and marketing for growth.
Integrate Power BI across Toast, Shopify and VIP for real-time reporting, predictive insights and forecasting, with GA4 and social tying measurement together.
Secure payments, a conversion-focused Shopify theme with SEO and mobile, and Klaviyo segmentation and A/B testing to turn demand into orders, profitably.
Design & UX · the storefront
UX research turned the brand’s heritage into a clean, conversion-focused Shopify store — classic and current at once, and fast on every device. (Brand colours and type follow Narragansett’s guidelines. Representative — illustrative pending sign-off.)
A heritage type system in Interstate with Maven Pro support, in rich black, crimson and emerald, so a 130-year-old icon feels classic and current at the same time, on every page.
The brand’s heritage carries into a modern store without losing what made it loved.
A warm, local voice that still works across email, social and the wider DTC channel as the audience grows.
A consistent identity backed by unified Power BI data, so every channel tells the same story.
Before & after
An aging store on systems that didn’t talk, rebuilt as a conversion-focused Shopify experience wired to unified Power BI data, Klaviyo and secure payments. (Screenshots are placeholders — drop in the real before/after exports.)

The foundation · one connected ecosystem
The whole transformation rests on connection: the systems that ran in isolation now feed one Power BI core, which turns scattered data into real-time reporting, prediction and forecasting. The diagram is an inferred reconstruction for the team to confirm.

Analytics & forecasting
With everything in one place, the Power BI layer became a command center: live KPIs across the business and forecasts that turn history into a plan. (Dashboard values and the forecast are illustrative samples to verify.)

Payments & billing
Two trusted gateways, encryption and tokenization so card data is never exposed, and automated billing and invoicing to cut manual work. The flow is an inferred reconstruction for the team to confirm.

Commerce · conversion, SEO & mobile
The Shopify store was upgraded with a custom, conversion-focused theme grounded in UX research, SEO best practices and mobile optimization, so more of the brand's hard-won traffic turns into orders.
Lifecycle marketing · Klaviyo
Configured for advanced segmentation, personalized campaigns and A/B testing, Klaviyo turned a quiet channel into a primary growth engine, generating roughly half of monthly revenue. The split below reflects that documented outcome.
How Klaviyo was built to convert
The flows that earn it · example
The documented ~50% comes from the flows running between campaigns. Klaviyo welcomes new neighbors, recovers abandoned carts with free-shipping nudges, and brings lapsed buyers back with the “Hi, Neighbor” voice — so a large share of revenue is earned automatically from the existing list, not bought again through ads.

The results
The overhaul delivered an integrated analytics and commerce ecosystem and turned it into growth, an additional $70,000 in the first month, email at roughly half of revenue, and a tripling of revenue overall. Those figures are documented; the others below are illustrative and for the team to confirm.
Three figures are documented in the brief: an additional $70,000 in revenue within the first month, email at roughly 50% of monthly revenue, and a tripling of revenue. Other values on this page, conversion rates, dashboard KPIs and channel details, are reasoned placeholders showing the kind of result the work targets. Replace each with the real number before this case study is published.
Why it was low-risk
“For the first time we can see the whole business in one place. We added $70K in the first month and email is now about half our revenue, this changed how we run the company.”
“They didn't just build dashboards, they connected everything, secured payments and tuned the store and email. It feels like a modern company now, on a hundred-plus-year-old brand.”
