Unbox the Dress repurposes wedding dresses for customers in very different emotional places, yet generic broadcast emails treated them all the same. A full Klaviyo audit, quiz-based segmentation and lifecycle automation pushed monthly revenue past $80,000, with automated flows alone accounting for a documented 40% lift.
The $80K+ monthly revenue and the +40% from flows come directly from the project brief. Open rates, segment splits and persona details later on this page are illustrative pending verification.
Summary
Unbox the Dress is an ecommerce brand focused on repurposing wedding dresses. Redefine Innovations delivered a comprehensive Klaviyo optimization program: a full account audit to find gaps in segmentation, automation and performance; targeted campaigns built from customer data and quiz-based insights for four distinct segments; automated lifecycle flows across the customer journey; split testing on subject lines, content and timing; and ongoing analytics for iterative improvement. The engagement pushed monthly revenue past $80,000, with automated flows contributing a documented 40% revenue increase.
Note: the $80K+ monthly revenue and the +40% from automated flows are documented in the brief. Open/click rates, the segment splits and the persona timing on this page are illustrative, replace each with verified Klaviyo data before publishing.
The challenge
Unbox the Dress had a list and an audience with real intent. What it lacked was the infrastructure to turn that intent into revenue: no meaningful segmentation, no lifecycle automation and no way to measure what was working.
The brand sells to customers in very different places, emotionally and practically. Someone who just married and wants to preserve the dress is completely different from someone ready to let go years later. A generic broadcast treats both the same, so neither feels spoken to, and engagement showed it.
Automation was minimal, so revenue depended on whoever sent the last campaign, no consistent cart recovery, no welcome journey, no post-purchase sequence. Performance data existed in Klaviyo but wasn't acted on: no audit cadence, no split-testing framework, no systematic path from insight to improvement.
The approach
No assumptions. A full Klaviyo audit came first, surfacing the specific gaps, and the program was built from those findings, not a generic template.
A comprehensive audit surfaced what was missing, then a customer quiz captured the intent a sign-up form never could, sorting the list into four distinct, addressable personas.
Personalized campaigns and lifecycle automations per segment, with split testing on every send and ongoing analytics feeding the next round of improvements.
Design & UX · the storefront
The identity and storefront carry one warm, emotional system across every path a customer might take — preserve, repurpose, gift or let go — so the experience always meets them where they are. (Brand colours and type follow Unbox the Dress’s guidelines. Representative — illustrative pending sign-off.)
A warm, editorial type system in Libre Baskerville and Chivo, in charleston green with coral and rose-gold on icy and ivory, so each customer’s story — and their next chapter — stays the focus on every page.
Customers arrive at very different emotional stages, so the experience is designed to meet each one where they actually are.
Soft, story-led design keeps the customer’s memory at the centre of every page, instead of a hard sell.
A consistent identity that flexes across preserve, repurpose, gift and let-go paths without ever feeling generic.
Before & after
The same list, two experiences: a single broadcast that treated everyone alike, and quiz-personalized flows built for each customer’s moment. (Email screenshots are placeholders — drop in the real before/after exports.)

Before/after emails are placeholders following the case-study asset path. The +40% from flows is documented; upload the real email exports (or update each src) before publishing.
Quiz-based segmentation
Every customer answers the same short quiz, capturing the gown’s provenance, form, detailing and scale alongside the customer’s own story. Those are the intent signals a generic sign-up form can’t capture, and they’re what route each customer into the segment and flow that fits. (Segment mapping is illustrative, verify against the actual Klaviyo account.)
Quiz-persona details are illustrative. Replace with verified segment definitions, triggers and timing from the actual Klaviyo account.
Audit & analytics
A structured Klaviyo audit built the foundation; ongoing analytics kept the program improving. Every campaign carried a split test, and every result fed the next decision.

Email & lifecycle automation · Klaviyo
The growth headline — 40% of revenue from automated flows, past $80,000 a month — runs on a set of always-on lifecycle flows, each branched by the quiz persona a customer matches. Here’s the flow structure behind it. (The 40% from flows and the $80,000+ monthly revenue are documented; the example flow steps, the six-flow breakdown and any per-flow rates below are illustrative and representative.)
Every customer arrives at a different emotional stage, so the quiz routes each one into a persona-branched flow — preserve, repurpose, gift or let go. From there the program runs the always-on lifecycle: a matched welcome, consideration and abandoned-booking recovery, post-service care, and gentle win-back — which is how automated flows came to drive 40% of revenue, on top of campaigns, as monthly revenue climbed past $80,000.
Where the revenue comes from
The documented headline is the 40% of revenue automated flows contributed, on top of campaigns, while monthly revenue climbed past $80,000. (Flow share and revenue are documented; the per-segment splits and funnel are illustrative.)

The results
Personalized messaging and lifecycle automation lifted conversion, deepened engagement and made email the most reliable revenue channel in the business. The revenue and flow figures are documented; the rest are illustrative and for the team to confirm.
Monthly revenue exceeding $80,000 and the 40% revenue increase from automated flows come directly from the project brief. All other metrics are read from Klaviyo campaign and flow reporting and shown here as reasoned placeholders. Replace each illustrative figure with the real number before publishing.
How we work
“The quiz idea changed everything. Once our customers told us what they actually wanted to do with their dress, every email we sent made sense to them. Revenue followed almost immediately.”
“Email went from an afterthought to our most reliable channel. The flows just keep working while we focus on the rest of the business.”
