Website traffic analysis

Turn your traffic into a revenue intelligence system

Most brands have Google Analytics installed. Most brands cannot answer what their best traffic source actually is, where visitors are dropping, or why conversion varies by 3x between channels. Redefine fixes that.

What your data is hiding

Your analytics shows numbers. It does not show what they mean.

The metrics most teams spend time on are the wrong ones. Here is what a standard analytics view shows versus what your traffic is actually telling you.

What the analysis delivers

Four data systems your marketing team has not had before.

Deliverable 01
Channel attribution model: not last-click, not a guess
We build a multi-touch attribution model specific to your customer journey. You see which channels influence a sale at every stage, not just which one got the last click before purchase. Most brands discover that email gets credit for 30 to 40% fewer sales than it actually influences.

Deliverable 02
Drop-off map: the exact steps where visitors stop buying
We map the conversion funnel step by step from landing page to purchase confirmation. Every stage shows the session count and drop-off percentage. Every drop-off with more than 15% unexplained exit gets a session recording review and a fix recommendation with an estimated revenue recovery amount.
Page-level exit rate with revenue context, not just traffic numbers
Scroll depth and engagement mapping by traffic source
Mobile versus desktop behavior split: most brands have a 2x conversion rate gap

Deliverable 03
Audience segment intelligence: who actually converts and why
Not all traffic is equal. We segment your audience by acquisition source, device, geography, first-time versus returning, and behavioral pattern, then cross-reference each segment against conversion rate and average order value. The output tells you which customer profiles to acquire more of and which to stop paying for.

The Challenge

Corporate Gear needed to improve website usability, accessibility, and conversion performance while competing in a crowded e-commerce market. Existing site experiences limited lead generation and engagement. Optimization efforts required structured testing, clearer user journeys, and better alignment with customer behavior to support revenue growth at scale.

The Approach

Google Analytics and behavioral data were used to build a complete picture of how traffic was arriving, where it was stalling, and which segments were converting. Continuous traffic analysis informed user experience improvements, search engine optimization investments, and Klaviyo segmentation decisions. Data drove every optimization instead of gut feel or platform self-reporting.

The Result
$0M
in annual revenue, scaled through data-driven traffic optimization and behavioral analysis
  • Significant increases in website traffic, lead generation, and conversion rates from continuous testing
  • Improved personalization and usability strengthened customer engagement and loyalty across the catalog
  • Secured a competitive position within the corporate branding market at over $120 million annual revenue
Why Redefine

What every other analytics report misses.

Most agencies deliver a dashboard of metrics with no revenue context. A Redefine traffic analysis tells you what each visitor segment is worth, where your budget is wasting, and which one change will make the biggest difference to revenue this month.

What standard reports miss versus what Redefine reveals
Revenue per traffic segment
Standard reports show sessions and pageviews. We show what each source, device, and campaign is actually worth in revenue, so you know where to invest and where to stop.
Blind spot
Multi-touch attribution across all channels
Platform-reported attribution overcredits paid channels by 20 to 40%. We build a model using your actual customer journey data, not what Google Ads or Meta claim they delivered.
Blind spot
Competitor traffic intelligence
Most analytics setups look only at your own site. We benchmark your traffic and keyword position against your top 3 organic competitors and show you the content gaps worth closing.
Redefine adds
Anomaly alerts before they cost you
We configure automated alerts for traffic drops exceeding 15% on any key segment. Most teams discover a problem weeks after a site change caused it, when revenue has already been lost.
Redefine adds
A dashboard your leadership can actually read
We build a single view showing revenue by traffic source, conversion rate by channel, and week-over-week trend with plain-language summaries. No analyst needed to interpret it.

Questions

Questions about website traffic analysis

Direct answers to what marketing teams ask before starting.

Get My Traffic Analysis

No commitment. No pitch. Full report in 5 days.

GA4 is a data collection tool. A traffic analysis is an interpretation service. GA4 shows you what happened. The analysis tells you why it happened, what it is worth in revenue, and what to do about it. Most teams with GA4 installed cannot answer which traffic source generates their highest-lifetime-value customers, where their funnel is losing the most revenue, or why mobile conversion trails desktop by 50%. The analysis answers all of those.

The full analysis takes 5 business days. We need: read-only access to GA4, read-only access to Google Search Console, and API access to any paid channels you run (Google Ads, Meta Ads). We need no admin access to your site or content management system. Your team's time investment is under 2 hours: one access brief and one findings call where we walk through the report and prioritized action plan.

This is the single most common situation we find. We audit your GA4 configuration as part of the analysis and tell you exactly what is missing: missing events, incorrect goal setup, broken e-commerce tracking, or missing channel groupings. In most cases, we can identify and flag these within the 5-day window. For brands that need a full GA4 rebuild, we scope that as a separate engagement after the analysis, since we will know exactly what needs to be fixed.

We support Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, and headless ecommerce builds on any front-end stack. We pull data from GA4, Google Search Console, Google Ads, Meta Ads, Klaviyo, and any other platform you connect through their API. For platforms not on this list, let us know in the brief and we will confirm compatibility before starting.

We offer both. A one-time analysis gives you the full revenue picture and prioritized action plan for your team to implement. An ongoing traffic intelligence engagement includes the initial analysis plus weekly reporting, monthly strategy calls, anomaly alerts, and quarterly benchmark updates. Most clients start with the one-time analysis and convert to ongoing once they see how much clarity the data provides.

Is this right for you?

Is a website traffic analysis right for your team right now?

This is right for you if
You have GA4 or Universal Analytics installed but cannot say which channel generates your highest-return traffic
You are spending money on paid channels but cannot confirm their actual revenue contribution
Traffic is growing but revenue is not growing at the same rate
Your team produces monthly reports that take hours and still cannot answer your Chief Marketing Officer's questions
You suspect your attribution is wrong but do not know by how much or in which direction
You want data clarity before your next budget allocation decision
This is probably not the right fit if
You have no website analytics installed and no historical traffic data to analyze
You have fewer than 2,000 monthly sessions: not enough data for meaningful pattern analysis
You have no marketing spend on any channel: nothing to attribute yet
You already have a dedicated in-house analytics team with full attribution infrastructure in place
You need revenue results in the next 30 days: analysis informs action, not replaces it
You are not willing to act on findings: data without decisions produces no outcome
