Every channel, every time.

Product content software gets every channel the right content, on time.

Your catalog holds thousands of records, and each channel needs different titles, media, and descriptions. Product content software keeps them all on message. Built into Redefine product information management, the platform gives your team one place to create, govern, and push content to every channel without duplicating work.

The problem this module solves

Your catalog is everywhere. Your content is not.

Most teams manage product content as a copy-paste operation. Each new channel means a new spreadsheet, a new upload routine, and another source of outdated data. By the time content is everywhere, it is already wrong somewhere.

With Redefine Product Information Management
  • One product record with channel content variants built in. No duplication.
  • Assign different images, videos, and documents per channel within the same record.
  • Governance workflow gates every change before any channel receives it.
  • One publish action sends approved content to all connected channels simultaneously.
  • Content completeness scoring shows exactly what is missing before you publish.
Typical approach
  • Separate spreadsheets and shared folders per channel. Data diverges within days.
  • Upload images manually to each platform. The wrong image ships on the wrong channel.
  • No approval step. Any team member can push incorrect content to live channels.
  • Manual login to each platform for every update. Multiply that by your stock-keeping-unit count.
  • Stale content discovered only when customers complain or returns spike.

Key capabilities

Product catalog management built for teams who publish to multiple channels.

Every capability in this module works within a single product record. Your team authors once. The platform delivers everywhere.

Channel-specific content versions

Maintain distinct content versions for print catalog, web storefront, marketplace, and business-to-business portal, all from within one product record. No duplication, no drift.

Rich media and asset assignment per channel

Upload images, videos, and documents once. Assign each asset to the specific channels it belongs on. Your direct-to-consumer hero image stays separate from the marketplace thumbnail automatically.

How DrivingI unified business-to-business catalog content for a complex multi-system operation.

Business-to-business catalog team reviewing unified product data across integrated enterprise resource planning, customer relationship management, and product information management systems
DrivingI
Business-to-Business Promotional Products

Established business-to-business promotional products company with complex catalogs, customer-specific pricing, and approval-based purchasing workflows.

The challenge

The legacy platform could not support complex business-to-business catalog workflows. Inventory syncing was unreliable, catalogs loaded slowly, and system data was fragmented across enterprise resource planning, customer relationship management, and marketing tools.

Solution

Complete rebuild using headless ecommerce architecture. Real-time inventory and pricing synchronized directly from Microsoft Dynamics. Custom approval and access control for business-to-business purchasing permissions. Salesforce integration centralized customer and account data.

6+ systems

unified into one catalog platform

Catalog usability improved significantly. Operational friction was eliminated across all integrated systems. Internal teams gained confidence in system accuracy for the first time.

The architecture now supports scalable growth and future enhancements without rework.

Why Redefine Product Information Management

Other product information management tools manage data. Redefine connects content to every channel you actually sell on.

Many PIM software competitors manage product data well but connect less convincingly to storefronts, marketplaces, workflows, and operational execution. That is the execution gap Redefine closes.

Typical PIM alternative
Channel-specific content variants
Direct-to-consumer, marketplace, business-to-business, program store, all in one record
Business-to-business and program store require separate tooling
Rich media per channel

External digital asset management system required for channel-level asset assignment
Governance before channel publish
Configurable approval workflow gates every channel publish
Basic workflow only, not tied to channel-level publish rules
Single publish action across channels
One action pushes to direct-to-consumer, marketplace, business-to-business, program store
Channel updates require separate publish steps per destination
Marketing copy alongside technical specifications
Long-form and short-form copy fields within the same product record
Requires content management system or separate content tool for long-form copy
Best-fit use cases

Product experience management for teams selling across three or more channels.

Multi-channel consumer brands

Selling on your direct-to-consumer store, Amazon, and wholesale simultaneously. You need product catalog management that serves different content per channel without juggling three separate systems or three copies of each product record.

Business-to-business manufacturers and distributors

Your business-to-business buyers need specification sheets, compliance documents, and technical descriptions your direct-to-consumer customers never see. With product experience management built in, this module lets you serve both audiences without splitting your catalog.

Enterprise brands with large regulated catalogs

Large catalogs in regulated industries need approval workflows before any content reaches a channel. This module puts governance at the record level so nothing publishes unreviewed.

Part of the Redefine product information management suite

Product content software connects to every part of the platform.

Content workflows run on the same engine used for enrichment, governance, localization, and syndication. No separate tooling, no data handoff between systems.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about PIM software and product content.

Product Content Management supports direct-to-consumer storefronts (Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, and headless), marketplace channels (Amazon, eBay, Walmart), business-to-business wholesale portals, program and corporate gifting stores, and print output formats including files and InDesign data feeds. Each channel receives its own content variant from within one product record.

Yes. Every product record contains a channel variant layer. You write and store a distinct title, description, marketing copy, and media assignment for each channel, direct-to-consumer, marketplace, business-to-business portal, program store, and print, all within the same record. No duplication, no syncing between separate records or systems.

You configure a workflow per product family or content type. When a content author saves changes, the record enters review. Assigned reviewers receive a notification and approve or reject inline. The content does not reach any channel until all required approvers have signed off. You can configure different approval chains for different channel types, for example, legal review required before marketplace publish, but not before internal business-to-business portal preview.

A digital asset management system stores and organizes assets. Redefine product content software manages the relationship between assets and product channels. You assign a specific asset to a specific channel within a product record. The direct-to-consumer storefront gets the lifestyle image, the marketplace gets the white-background product shot, the business-to-business portal gets the specification sheet, all controlled from within the same product record, not from a separate digital asset management interface. You can integrate your existing digital asset management system as an asset source if needed.

Yes. Product records contain both structured attribute fields (dimensions, weight, material, compliance certifications) and long-form content fields (editorial descriptions, marketing copy, search engine optimization metadata). You control which field type appears on which channel. Technical specifications go to the business-to-business portal and print catalog. Marketing copy goes to direct-to-consumer. Bullet points go to marketplace listings. All from the same record.

When an approver marks content as ready and you trigger publish, Redefine sends each channel its configured content variant via native application programming interface connections or feed exports. Storefront connections update the product page directly. Marketplace feeds are regenerated with the new content. Business-to-business portals receive the update via application programming interface. The publishing log shows the status per channel so you know what went live and when.

Is this the right fit for your team

Good fit. Not a fit.

Good fit
  • You sell on three or more channels simultaneously and need different content on each.
  • Your catalog has more than 500 stock keeping units and content updates happen regularly.
  • You need a governance workflow before content reaches any live channel.
  • Your business-to-business and direct-to-consumer buyers need completely different content and media.
Not a fit
  • Single-channel direct-to-consumer with one version of content per product and no channel expansion planned.
  • Catalog under 100 stock keeping units with infrequent content changes and no approval requirements.
  • Team of one managing a static catalog with no near-term plans to expand channels.
