The real cost of a disconnected ERP

What a disconnected ERP costs your team every week

Your ERP holds the data. Your storefront, CRM, and warehouse need it. When those systems do not connect, your team fills the gap by hand. Here is what that gap actually costs.

ERP to business intelligence and analytics: live financial and operational reporting

Financial, inventory, and operational records from your ERP streamed into a business intelligence layer in near real time. Power BI, Tableau, or a custom data warehouse pulls from a structured ERP data feed rather than manual exports. Your finance team works from live numbers, not last week's snapshot.

Pima Controls: How one manufacturer connected ERP to CRM and cut production delays

Pima Controls manufacturing floor team reviewing live ERP and customer relationship management production data on integrated screens
ERP + CRM

Microsoft Dynamics NAV connected to customer relationship management across the full manufacturing operation
Production
delays reduced
Real-time floor data from ERP eliminated manual handoffs between production planning and sales
Manual
processes eliminated
Order-to-floor workflow automated end-to-end. ERP and customer relationship management record always in sync
The problem

Pima Controls ran their ERP and CRM as separate systems. Sales could not see production status or inventory. Production planning used different data than the floor. Order updates required manual calls between departments.

What we built

A bidirectional integration between Microsoft Dynamics NAV and the customer relationship management layer. Sales orders created in the customer relationship management system triggered production work orders in NAV automatically. Production status and inventory positions synced back in real time, giving sales full visibility without switching systems.

The result

Sales and manufacturing now work from the same live ERP data. Production delays dropped because order-to-floor handoffs happen automatically. The daily status calls between departments stopped completely. Pima Controls' ERP now feeds every system in the operation.

Architecture

Your ERP at the center. Every system connected to it.

Your ERP holds the master data. Every connected system reads from it or receives updates on a schedule you set. No point-to-point spaghetti. One hub, clean spokes.

Why Redefine

Three things most ERP integration firms get wrong

They build before they read your schema

Most ERP integration projects start with a scope call and end with a sprint. The schema gets discovered mid-build when edge cases appear. We work differently. You get a signed schema brief before day eight. It includes field mappings, transformation rules, and data validation logic. You review it. We build from it. No surprises after you commit.

They price by the hour, not by the outcome

Every edge case your ERP surfaces becomes a change order at other firms. Time-and-materials billing rewards complexity. We price by the endpoint instead. A single ERP-to-ecommerce connection starts at $3,200, fixed. The go-live date is in the proposal. You know the cost before the build starts.

They hand off on go-live day and disappear

Your ERP update schedule and your connected systems do not always agree. A renamed field in a Dynamics 365 update can break a pipeline silently. That is why every build includes schema drift detection, failed-message alerting, and a 30-day hypercare window. You get direct Slack access to the engineer who built your pipeline. We stay until the first quarter runs clean.

Common questions

Questions we hear from ERP integration buyers every week

We work primarily with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Finance and Operations, Microsoft Dynamics NAV, NetSuite, SAP, and Sage. We also build custom connectors for proprietary ERPs through REST, SOAP, or flat-file bridges. See our API integration services page for endpoint-specific builds.

A single ERP-to-ecommerce or ERP-to-customer-relationship-management endpoint typically goes live in 12 to 18 days from signed brief. Multi-system builds connecting ERP to customer relationship management, 3PL, and business intelligence simultaneously run 6 to 12 weeks depending on source system complexity and data quality. Every project starts with a schema audit that sets a realistic, committable go-live date.

Yes. Single ERP-to-system connections start from $3,200 fixed-price. Full ERP hub builds connecting 4 or more satellite systems start from $16,000. Architecture audits are $800 and are credited against any subsequent build. Time-and-materials retainers are available for ongoing maintenance and expansion.

Yes. Many legacy ERPs only expose SOAP, flat-file exports, or direct database access. We build adapters for all three. Dynamics NAV, older SAP versions, and many custom ERPs fall into this category. Feasibility is confirmed in the schema audit before any build commitment.

Every integration we build includes schema drift detection. If a Dynamics 365 or NetSuite update changes a field name or endpoint structure, our monitoring alerts before data starts failing silently. We offer a 30-day hypercare period and ongoing maintenance retainers for teams that want long-term coverage.

iPaaS tools like Boomi or MuleSoft provide connectors for standard ERP endpoints, but struggle with custom business logic, bespoke ERP fields, and legacy SOAP surfaces. Custom ERP integration solutions give you a pipeline built around your specific data model, not a generic template that needs workarounds. See our application integration services page for iPaaS-adjacent work.
